I have an extremely short attention span. In fact, it’s one of the reasons why it is so incredibly hard for me to work from home. I am so easily distracted by my dogs, dirty dishes, messy closets…etc.
I have this amazing home office that is filled with gorgeous furniture that has an antique post office vibe - you know the kind that you see in older post offices for people’s PO Boxes. Ya, that kind.
It has amazing lighting and is on the 3rd story of my house (so it's quiet + away from the living room, bedroom, dogs…etc.) but it was always insanely hard for me to focus on my work.
Mind you - working from home is not for me. In fact, due to the Coronavirus, I have been feeling the cabin fever of running the agency from my home. But nonetheless, I still need to be productive and focus on my work!
SO HOW DO I DO IT?
I set up my home office with my favorite necessities just like my real downtown office has. Here are a few of my favorite things that help me keep my attention on my work and enjoy working from home.

This is one of the best wireless chargers I have used, and in total I have tried four of them (including the two at home). This chic white wireless charger charges your phone quickly while holding it in the up-right position. I usually have my auto-lock on my iPhone turned off so I can look through social media or keep up to date with my notifications, so this wireless charger helps keep my phone battery at 100%. Plus, I feel like it charges my phone super quick! Unlike other wireless chargers that take a few hours to charge or where you have to have your phone in the perfect position to connect!
I spend roughly 5 - 8 hours behind a screen. Whether it be the computer, iPhone, or the television screen - I am constantly exposed to blue light. One of the immediate side effects of this are “screen headaches.” My eyes are not only tired and strained from the blue light, but I actually get headaches from not wearing my glasses! I have tried a couple brands in the past BUT THESE are my favorite. Plus, I love the Leopard Print Frame.
I am all about a good discounted DUPE! When I was decorating my office I had my heart set on this one very specific matte black tea kettle. I saw it everywhere and felt like I NEEDED to have it. The only problem was that it was like $100 and I really couldn’t justify the investment since I usually prefer coffee to tea. But nonetheless, I did want something to heat up water and tea with. After a lengthy Amazon search, I found this incredible sleek black kettle dupe and I have been in love ever since! It also has five different temperature settings and recommendations for which tea or coffee you are making. Plus, it looks chic as fuck on your desk or in your office.

Honestly, I have to enjoy my work. My work HAS to be FUN! Ban.do has been a favorite of mine since college. I always enjoy their planners, stickers, and notebooks. I am also a huge kinesthetic and need to write out my goals and plans for my work. These notebooks are my favorite and brighten up your desk and overall work day. They are also available on Amazon - which is always a plus!
NOISE CANCELING HEADPHONES - the only kind you need to purchase.
Ok so I purchased these before my 3 week trip to Europe last October. I told myself that I was going to return them because they were a little expensive for my taste. Also, I didn’t really understand the difference between these and my air-pods. Long story short, I have not returned them and I am actually wearing them as I write this post! These Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones are like heaven for your ears. Not only are they the most comfortable, but they literally block any noise around you. After using them on the airplane for 12 hours (and being thoroughly impressed by the noise cancellation), I began using them during my workday. I love them and I feel a significant amount of stress relief when I use them. Almost like I am canceling out the world and only focusing on what is directly in front of me, so they do wonders for my productivity + stress!
