My Daily Beauty Go-Tos

So as much as I wish I was a beauty guru - I most definitely am not.
I grew up with a single dad that attempted to give me the world with everything he had, but he did not possess a solid skincare routine...
However, I did pick up a few tricks from my aunt, cousin, grandma, and the Nordstrom beauty counter associate.
For example,
Always douse your entire body in lotion as soon as you get out of the shower. Just do it.
Always add a little bit of oil to your shins and collar bones before going out for a slight glisten.
Always, always, always wear sunscreen and a hat.
I have also picked up on a few tricks myself. In fact, I have my top 10 daily go-tos listed here and why I LOVE them.

The nice thing about these is that almost ALL of them can be purchased right off Amazon.
So let’s get to it, shall we?
Ok this is my all time favorite go-to dry shampoo. It smells like heaven and it works. Like really works. I always travel with this dry shampoo. I keep a couple bottles of it at the office. I have it everywhere. It’s the best and I even use a little bit when I style my hair for texture!
2. Unscented Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Gel Face Moisturizer
Let me be clear about this moisturizer - it is a LIFE SAVER. A couple years ago I was planning my first big event, so naturally my face was a wreck. I called my makeup artist the night before because my skin was breaking out and she told me to immediately go to the drug store and buy this moisturizer. I am not lying when I tell you that I woke up and my face was glowing. I use it daily and the Hyaluronic Acid has been a game-changer for my skin. * this isn’t endorsed - it just really works well for me *
Do you like to smell good? Do you like vegan, plant-based, clean and cruelty-free, aluminum- and baking soda-free deodorant that actually works? Me too. Here’s my favorite that I won’t leave home without. I also keep their mini version in my makeup bag and purse! They also have a subscription service so you won’t ever run out.
4. Insta Natural Cleansing Balm
I don’t really love cleansing balms or lotions. I typically would rather wash off my makeup with a cleanser or a warm wash cloth…BUT, this cleansing balm smells like heaven. It smells like a lush perfect rose and the balm isn’t sticky or overly heavy. My skin also feels moisturized after using it! I use this to take off my makeup when I wear heavier full face makeup for an event or for a special occasion. This isn’t my everyday cleanser, but it is a part of my daily go-tos because I keep it on hand for when I do wear heavier makeup!
If you have extensions or are a major mane lover, this is the best leave-in conditioner / detangler on the market. Don’t just take my word for it. Give it a nice Google search and read the reviews. What I love about it is that I literally have the most ratty hair (the bleach doesn’t help) and it not only detangles it, but it leaves it SO soft. It smells great too! I have this delivered through Amazon subscription each month because I use it so often. Plus, I usually always bring it with me when I travel or go to the gym!
As much as I wish I could not be a believer in the hype - I am. Your girl did wonders when she created this mask and I am here for it. Like I said, I tried this reluctantly and was very skeptical. But I tried it and loved it. The thing about this mask is that it actually sets up your skin almost like a primer would. I like to apply it at night before bed and then wake up with it on and apply my morning skincare routine! It really does make your skin smoother and super glowy so I am a fan!
BIG FAN OF THIS ONE RIGHT HERE. I am a smell person, ya know? But I also am a lover of nice, softly tousled hair. Like a bit messed up, but still polished. Cue the Moroccan Oil Hairspray. It smells delicious, but it’s a very soft hairspray. It holds, but not enough to give you the awful stiff hair spray feeling. Or crunchy hair as I like to call it. It’s just nice, ya know?
Ever just need a nice simple sheet face mask? But like, don’t want to spend $20 on one, but also don’t want to put a super sketchy never-heard-of brand on your skin? I got you boo boo. I keep these sheet masks on stock at all times! They’re easy. They’re light. And they’re super hydrating. I love them! I love a good sheet mask, but for this go-to list I highly suggest stocking up on these bad boys. They are the perfect addition for your nightly routine or some nice self care in the bath!
Need I explain? Emily Weiss is a genius. This is also hands down the best lip balm on the market. It’s super hydrating, tastes great, smells great, and it can double as a cuticle hydrator. That’s right - I put this on my lips then rub the remaining amount on my cuticles and nail bed. Keeps your hands soft and your cuticles polished! My favorites are Rose, Coconut, and Mango!
10. COOLA Sunscreen Silk Drops
My final go-to is one of my all time favorite brands, COOLA! I love their organic sunscreen and honestly love all of their product. My favorite product are their Sun Silk Drops that protect from both UV + HEV rays (blue light - computer screens, phones…etc.). This is part of my go-tos for that exact reason! Studies have shown that blue light can damage your skin and as stated by COOLA’s website, “Research indicates that blue light can reach deeper into our skin than UVA and UVB rays, passing through both the epidermal and dermal layers to reach the subcutaneous tissues—and perhaps even deeper…”.
I love all of these products for a reason. They are simple and effective. Which outlines the basis of my beauty routine. I am also HUGE on convenience and most of these products have 2 day FREE shipping, subscriptions or can easily be found on Amazon Prime.
